5-tine Broadfork
Broadfork, 5 tines, steel
Description
Our Mermier Broadfork allows the soil to be aerated without having to turn it over, thus avoiding contact between the bacteria on the surface of the soil and the bacteria in the soil.
Its arch facilitates the penetration of the tines into the soil because the support surface is enlarged; it also provides leverage to help lift the soil.
The width of the hoop of the 5-tine Broadfork is 500 mm.
The 1 metre long handles on both sides of the tiller distribute the effort to each arm and prevent the use of the back.
The advantage of the 3-tine Broadfork is that it is lighter than the 5-tine one: 3.5 VS 4.3 kg.
The wooden handles are varnished and the handle is made of steel with a hammered grey finish.
